Teachers, childcare workers, and other early childhood professionals are first and foremost providers of care for the little ones in their classrooms. They cannot teach skills or content without establishing trust and care with young children.
With over a decade of professional experience in classrooms, I have witnessed the way that the most successful learning experiences emerge from webs of strong relationships. Humans are wired to flourish when they are in connections with one another. Yet, often they get lost or disregarded in school experiences.
I love training and coaching educators on how to build authentic, strong, and impactful relationships with children. Through presentations or coaching sessions, I share research, strategies, and reflective techniques to build and strengthen relationships in the classroom.
Yes! I have two options for supporting Infant, Toddler, and Preschool/PreKindergarten teachers to bolster their approach and enhance their naptime toolbox.
My Classroom Naptime Coaching Package is specifically for teachers of infants through PreK who are struggling with naptime. During my time as a teacher, I have experienced both challenges and successes with naptime. My training and experience as a sleep coach gives me a new perspective on the role of sleep and rest in the growth and learning of young children. My goal for this coaching is to support teachers in not just facilitating a peaceful naptime for their students, but also help to maximize the rest and relaxation of their hardworking teachers.
The Classroom Naptime Coaching Package includes:
Options for in-person or virtual support
Intake conversation with teachers struggling with naptime
Education on sleep and rest needs by age group
Classroom lessons and resources to teach naptime skills and expectations
Individualized tips and tricks to address your challenges
Follow-Up support as needed
My Classroom Naptime Presentation is an informative, interactive, and reflective presentation that blends current research and personal experience to address common challenges in classroom naptimes. This 120-minute presentation can be done in-person or virtually and includes:

Yes! I have been presenting to early childhood teachers since 2010! My presentations are best when they are 120+ minutes, but can be shortened if needed. Happy to present in person or virtual.
Be Present, Connect, Extend Learning: Powerful Interactions in the Classroom: Educational research is abundantly clear that children learn best when they are in relationship with their teachers. But, in the hustle and bustle of a busy classroom, connections often get lost. This presentation helps teachers reflect on their presence in the classroom and focus on their relationships as a foundation for learning. Participants walk away feeling valued and empowered as a teacher and with new tools to enhance their connections to their students.
Social Stories as Emotional, Social, and Literacy Tools: A Social Story is an individualized book or document written to help support children through changes or challenges. They can be written for a single child or a whole classroom to help children conceptualize a situation or experience. When used intentionally, they can be an incredibly powerful tool for helping to support children through a new experience ranging from getting ready for a new sibling to preparing for a classroom field trip. This presentation will describe the origins of social stories, examples, and steps for creating your own!
